Turner Memorial AME Church uses the GriefShare grief support program that has the word of God as its foundation. Several virtual 13-week series are held each year. Planning a Celebration of Life for a Loved One
Turner AME Church provides information in the planning of funeral or memorial services for loved ones who have passed away. The first step is to contact the church office at 301-408-0750 to report that a loved one has passed away or contact the Minister to Congregational Care, at congregationalcare@turner-ame.org.
Requesting a Visitation for Communion
Post-pandemic, members of the congregation and their immediate families can request a “communion visit” when they have prolonged periods of not being unable to attend church due to health reasons. Please contact the church Administrative Assistant at 301-408-0750 to provide the complete name of the person to be visited, address, phone number, and email address (if available). Contact the Minister to Congregational Care for more information at congregationalcare@turner-ame.org.
